Scotsman Hospitality Add Student Accommodation To Diverse Portfolio With Launch Of SPACE St. Andrews
Scotsman Hospitality, who operate a portfolio of 50 hotels, restaurants, cinemas and bars have moved into the student accommodation market in the University town of St. Andrews, with the launch of SPACE. In keeping with their reputation for the acquisition and regeneration of listed buildings, the group have converted the former Kilrymont High School into a state of the art collection of self-contained studios, plus 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments. Many of the apartments and studios have enhanced features such as terrace gardens and town and sea views, and all have been fitted out to an exacting standard by the group.
The campus also features a gym and several study and social spaces, including bookable private dinner and party rooms. Students have access to a dedicated shuttle service to enable them to get around town, as well as a range of pedal and e-bikes for use.
When it comes to student life, the group have maximised on their experience in delivering memorable experiences, with a jam packed schedule of events from cooking classes to yoga planned in for residents.
The first phase of the development launched last month, with SPACE welcoming its first residents from over 20 countries and a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Bookings will soon open for the 2024/25 Academic year, and the operators have planned a series of Open Days at the site, designed to give potential residents a full picture of the many facilities on offer.
A further phased launch of additional accommodation and amenities on the campus are well underway, with the site set to continue to be developed to support a burgeoning student population in the town.
