The Assistant Manager at Oran Mor in Glasgow, has been awarded ‘Sky Arts Hero’ 2025.

The Sky Arts Hero Award is a first of its kind category within the Sky Arts Awards, dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the arts possible. It shines a spotlight on the quiet forces behind every performance, exhibition, and production: from sound engineers, lighting technicians and stagehands, to security staff, housekeepers, fundraisers, and community volunteers.

Diane is the Assistant Manager at Òran Mór in Glasgow, and since 2004 has been working the ticket desk for the venue’s lunchtime phenomenon A Play, A Pie and A Pint, checking people in and giving the warmest welcome at over 600 shows.

Diane is also at the forefront of fundraising during Òran Mór’s annual Christmas pantomime, which in the last three years has raised over £75,000 for local schools and charities, such as Scottish Action for Mental Health and St Gregory’s Food Bank.

Our warm wishes to Diane and congratulations to all those nominated.
