Òran Mór is delighted to announce that its iconic summer pantomime will be back Tuesday 1 July to Saturday 19th July 2025 with tickets on sale now.

Produced by the creative team behind the world-famous A Play, A Pie and A Pint, this year’s show is Oliver in a Twist, a riotous and wildly entertaining spin on the classic tale written and directed by Andy McGregor.

Oliver In A Twist welcomes us to Victorian London: famous for fog, factories, and the filthy rich getting richer while the poor get… evicted. With Phil Pikes, a landlord so rotten he’d make Scrooge look generous, planning to turf out Nancy and her inexplicably named son, Jammy Dodger, so he can move into the student housing market. With the thieving game not what it once was, Nancy and Jammy’s prospects look bleak.

Just as despair sets in, a young orphan appears, asking for “more.” Meet Oliver, wideeyed, innocent and absolutely starving. Schooled by the legendary Fagin in the lightfingered arts, he’s unleashed onto the London streets. But when Oliver bumps into a kind-hearted gent, his newfound loyalties face the ultimate test. Prepare for a sidesplitting panto spin on a beloved Dickensian tale! Oliver In A Twist is a laugh-out-loud show that guarantees a good night out!

Oliver in A Twist features a stellar cast of:

Fraser Boyle: Mother Goose, Cinderella (Gaiety Theatre Ayr), The Devil on Wheels (Nutshell, Scottish tour), Goldilocks goes to Greece & Jack and the Bean Pie (Oran Mor)

Darren Brownlie: River City, Peter Pan (Kings Theatre Glasgow for Xroads), Crocodile Rock ), Meet me at the Knob, Punocchio, Spuds, Vinyl Idol, Tap Dancing with Jean Paul Sartre, First Dance (Òran Mór)

Dani Heron Alright Sunshine; Fleg; Fruitcake; Radiant Vermin; Underwood Lane (Tron Theatre) There’s No Room In Our Bathroom for Lewis Capaldi (PACE Theatre Company)

Elena Redmond: There’s A Place (Perth Theatre); The Hope River Girls (groupwork); Class Act (Traverse Theatre); The Enemy (National Theatre of Scotland) also star.

Andy McGregor says: “I’m delighted to be back at Oran Mor again, presenting my fourth summer panto, Oliver in a Twist. Summer pantos are a lot of fun, as you can venture into stories and places that are off limits for Christmas time. I think Oliver Twist works really well as a panto and I hope you agree! The cast are all gems of the Scottish stage and I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I did bossing them about”

As per tradition, all tickets include a pie (or vegan sausage roll) and a pint, making it one of the best-value experiences this Summer in Glasgow.
